The Somm spoke to my husband, suggested some wines and left for the remainder of the evening. We were ushered to a room with 5 other tables of people. We didn’t go back to that restaurant remainder of trip. It was an hour to get our entrée and we didn’t order appetizers. Capers (Italian) restaurant a disappointment. What a great way to bring home our memories! Cons: Preferred building 3rd floor end rooms 13 have trees blocking part of ocean view. He is with Adventure photos behind the Secrets lobby. We bought the entire package and can hardly wait to receive our items in the mail. He was funny and helpful and encouraging and helped us capture the most beautiful pictures. One of the best things we did was schedule a photo shoot on site with Nestor Solorio. No one rushing you out, in fact, we were invited to do the circuit again. So many stations and friendly staff to guide you. Hydrotherapy in the Spa was absolutely an incredible relaxation experience. They were high energy, happy and really fun to be around. 2nd floor has DVD's, magazines, books, computer/business area and additional seating. Lobby of either resort (Secrets and NOW are side by side) is great place to view or photograph sunset. All Preferred rooms have balcony hot tub, large shower and tub in room. No upgrades needed unless you want an end room w 360 view and private pool. Pros: Free lessons for paddle boarding and kayaking You can kayak to within 50 ft of dolphins. Nice, but surprised how small the resort property is. More Show lessĪs a single traveller, I do like to go to adult only hotels, the hotel and staff are amazing, so to are the restaurants, but I didn't realise that it's basically couple's,and it seems they want to be left alone, I've been to other adult only hotels in Mexico,& had a blast met loads of people, who I still keep in touch with 9yrs later!! & being a solo traveller, the hotel plus flight cost me£3,000! Having to pay for a single supplement, but that's the norm anyway, I was there for two weeks, & did meet a few people, but just for a polite conversation& that was Lol that! Very rarely did they converse again! It's sounds like I'm a personal don't wanna meet!! Lol!! But I'm a hairdresser so I'm used to getting on with people, anyway I must admit other than that, it's quite lonely out in 20 minutes!! Sorry in and out in 20 minutes as the restaurants are busy & your taking up a whole table just for one! But I must admit it was one of the most relaxing holidays I've ever had& I did need the rest.įirst impression-Love being able to see the Bay from the moment you pull up. Would we go back? For the resort yes for the beach no. Omar and Emilio took care of us on the beach and could not have asked for nicer guys. We took dips in the pools which were inviting, clean and refreshing. The beach itself where you sit is nice and we were down there everyday. There was always a jelly fish flag up too. We tried going in the ocean 1 day and sank up to our ankles in pebbles and got rolled by the waves. We were aware of stones at beach from trip advisor but wholly cow, piles of rocks. We are beach people and this was our big disappointment. Please don't forget to leave them tips, they so deserve it. The staff is so helpful and hard working. Asked for med rare on steak and got a bit raw. Be careful of how you order your cooking. Disappointed in the Japanese restaurant if you weren't sitting at the table that you need to make reservations for. The food was delicious in most of the restaurants. Maid staff was there in the morning and turn down service at night. Don't be surprised when you see the bathroom is open to the room. Stunning! Has a nice balcony with table and chairs to sit outside. The hotel rooms all face the beach, we were on floor 11 and looked across the whole bay. This was our first time at this resort, 2nd at a secrets.
